Among the nation’s highest rated plans

National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), a private,
non-profit organization dedicated to improving health care quality, has rated NHP 4.5 out of 5 for our commercial and MassHealth plans based on NCQA’s Private Health Insurance Plan Ratings 2016–2017 and NCQA’s Medicaid Health Insurance Plan Ratings 2016–2017.

Quality Care and Service Excellence

The Case Management Society of America’s Decision Health Case in Point Platinum Award, in recognition of NHP’s Social Care Management program and unique and high-touch approach to serving our members. In addition, NHP received Honorable Mentions for our Enhanced Asthma Home Visit program and Care Management program. (2016)

The Environmental Protection Agency’s National Leadership Award, for excellence in comprehensive Asthma Management. (2010)

Diversity and Inclusion

The Ad Club’s Rosoff Award, in the health and wellness category, in recognition of NHP’s pioneering approach to promote an inclusive work environment and fostering diversity across the organization. (2016)

Brazilian Magazine’s Best of 2014 Award, in the health insurance plan category, in recognition of NHP’s work and spirit in providing inclusiveness and integration for the diverse communities we serve. (2014)

The Ad Club’s Rosoff Award, for marketing to a diverse audience for its innovative communications campaign and promoting the importance of mammography screenings to Black and African American women. (2011)

Workforce Recognition

New England Employee Benefits Council’s (NEEBC) Best Benefit Practice Award, in recognition of NHP’s employee engagement program, “bFIT,” which seeks to empower employees at all levels of the organization on a variety of important initiatives. (2016)

Leadership in the Community

Baker-Polito Administration Appointment, of NHP’s Dr. Paul Mendis to Special Commission to examine the feasibility of establishing a pain management access program created under state opioid legislation. (2016)
