Tips for talking to your doctor

It’s important to talk to your doctor about your health, but it can be hard to know where to start. Office visits are the perfect time to ask questions about your symptoms, medications, treatment options, or anything else that’s on your mind.

Here are three simple tips to help you make the most of each office visit and have great conversations with your doctor.

Write it down.

Before your appointment write down everything you want to talk about.

Ask questions.

Don’t be afraid to ask questions or to ask your doctor to repeat something
you didn’t understand.

Take notes.

During your appointment, write down important information or ask your doctor
to write it down for you.
