Commonwealth Care

How will my Commonwealth Care coverage change in 2014?

The 2014 health care reform updates may change how you get your health care. You may qualify for enhanced benefits and lower costs. Some CommonwealthCare members will now qualify for MassHealth (Medicaid) benefits.

How will I know what’s happening with me and my plan?

Watch your mail!

If you receive a letter from MassHealth with a pink banner at the top, you may qualify for one of the new MassHealth CarePlus plans. You will be automatically re-enrolled with NHP or in a MassHealth plan that’s right for them.

If you do not receive a letter with a pink banner at the top, you may qualify for a subsidized plan (state subsidies and/or federal tax credits) through the Massachusetts Health Connector (also called Connector Care, the state exchange or the health insurance marketplace). If you do not receive a letter with a pink banner at the top, you must re-enroll at to keep your coverage. You can call the Massachusetts Health Connector with questions at 1-877 MA ENROLL.

Keep Your Doctor. Keep Your Benefits. Keep NHP.
