90-Day Supply Programs and Savings
NHP requires members to get a 90-day supply of certain maintenance medications for treating conditions like diabetes or high blood pressure. This is so you will always have enough on hand to manage your condition properly. With a 90-day supply, you can also take advantage of savings on copayments and coinsurance with our Access90 program.
If you take medication on a regular basis, the Access90 program can save you time and money.
There is good news if you take medication on a regular basis. Access90 is a program that allows you to get up to a 90-day supply of certain prescription medicines from participating pharmacies. And, your copay may be reduced for a 90-day supply.
The types of medicines covered under the Access90 program include those used for acid reflux, arthritis, asthma, depression, diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and others. You do not have to use the Access90 program, but we think you’ll find it a lot easier than getting refills every month.
It is easy to start using the Access90 program:
- For medications that you are already taking, just ask your doctor for a prescription for a 90-day supply when it is time for a refill.
- For medications that you are just starting, you'll need to get a 30-day supply the first time. Then, when you need a refill, ask your doctor for a prescription with a 90-day supply.

Keep in mind, the medications listed may be subject to a pharmacy step-therapy program or may require additional authorization.
