Schedule Your Annual
Mammogram Today

Finding something this small may save your life.

An annual mammogram can detect a lump that is smaller than one you or your doctor can feel. Not every lump is cancer but if it is, early detection is key to successful treatment and survival. So call your doctor today to schedule your annual mammogram.

What is a Mammogram?

Mammograms are used to check for breast cancer in women who don’t show any obvious signs or symptoms of the disease. A mammogram is simply an x-ray of the breast. The entire procedure takes only about 20 minutes. Each breast is placed between two plastic plates. Some discomfort is normal, but if it does actually hurt, be sure to tell the mammography technician.

Am I at Risk?

Many factors play a role in a woman developing breast cancer. For example, your risk increases if your mother, sister, or daughter has been diagnosed with it, especially if the diagnosis was before age 50.

Where Can I Get a Mammogram?

There are many places in the Boston area to get a mammogram.
