Neighborhood Health Plan provides insurance to employer groups and individuals. If you are an employer looking to offer NHP coverage, please visit the Employers section of this web site for additional information about coverage plans and benefits.
NHP Care Plans (Business Choice)
If your employer already offers Neighborhood Health Plan, speak to your Human Resources representative for more information about signing up for NHP benefits. If you would like your employer to offer NHP, please refer your HR representative to NHP's Sales Department.
NHP Care For Individuals and Families
NHP Care HMO plans (Business Choice) are available to individuals and families who reside within the NHP Service Area.
Eligible Individuals (and their family members) can purchase an NHP Care HMO plan directly through Health Services Administrators (HSA), a division of our preferred intermediary, the Massachusetts Business Association (MBA). To enroll through HSA, members are not required to participate in an association.

NHP Commonwealth Care
Commonwealth Care is a Massachusetts program offering no premium or low premium insurance for individuals who meet income guidelines. Please visit the NHP Commonwealth Care page for more information.
NHP Commonwealth Choice
Commonwealth Choice is a health insurance program for individuals, families and small group employers in Massachusetts who currently do not have access to health insurance. Please visit the NHP Commonwealth Choice page for more information.
MassHealth Plans
If you are a MassHealth member and have questions about your health plan enrollment options with MassHealth managed care providers, including NHP, please call the MassHealth Customer Service Center at 800-841-2900 (TTY 800-497-4648). Their hours of operation are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. If you need information about becoming a MassHealth member, please see the About MassHealth Membership page.
- Standard/CommonHealth/Basic/Family Assistance
If you are already a MassHealth member, you can sign up for Neighborhood Health Plan at any time, even if you are currently assigned to a different health plan. - Community Medical Alliance (CMA) Programs
The CMA Programs utilize nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and behavioral health clinicians to provide direct care and care management to members with chronic illness such as advanced HIV/AIDS, severe physical disabilities, mental retardation and developmental disabilities. The clinicians primarily see the members in their homes or wherever they reside. MassHealth members who are considered disabled by the state are eligible for participation in the CMA program if they meet specific clinical criteria as determined by MassHealth.
