Access90 Pharmacy Program

Would a 90-day supply of your medication be more convenient for you?

There is good news if you take medication on a regular basis. Access90 is a program that allows you to get up to a 90-day supply of certain prescription medicines from participating pharmacies. In some cases, you may also be able to save on your copays.

The types of medicines covered under the Access90 program include those used for acid reflux, arthritis, asthma, depression, diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and others. You do not have to use the Access90 program, but we think you will find it a lot easier than getting refills every month.

It is easy to start using the Access90 program:

  • For medications that you are already taking, just ask your doctor for a prescription for a 90-day supply when it is time for a refill
  • For medications that you are just starting, you'll need to get a 30-day supply the first time. Then, when you need a refill, ask your doctor for a prescription with a 90-day supply.

Access90 Covered Drugs

For the most up-to-date list of medications in the Access90 program, use the Drug Lookup tool. Keep in mind that the medications listed may be subject to a pharmacy step-therapy program or may require additional authorization. If you need more information, you can call the NHP Member Service Center at 1-800-462-5449 (TTY 1-800-655-1761).

To start using the Access90 program, you need two prescriptions from your doctor: one for a 30-day supply of your medicine and another for a 90-day supply. Any copayments you may be responsible for will depend on the type of medication prescribed and the type of pharmacy coverage you have with NHP:

  • First Tier: Generic Drugs
two copays for 3 months supply
  • Second Tier: Brand Name Drugs
two copays for 3 months supply
  • Third Tier: Non-Preferred Brand Name
three copays for 3 months supply

MassHealth Members pay only one copay for up to 90-day supply.
